Hello, I'm Olivia
A project manager. A parent. An expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
The Beginning
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in the plans for the long run. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
Those initial months were overwhelming — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more challenging than they needed to be.
The Transition Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Ajiwu Gazu Qexej
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Is About (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- Sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Olivia
